FDA Warning: Infant Sleep Positioners

The FDA is reminding parents and other caregivers not to put babies in sleep positioners. These products—sometimes also called “nests” or “anti-roll” products—can cause suffocation (a struggle to breathe) that can lead to death. Flu Vaccine Clinics 2017!

We are beginning to schedule flu vaccine clinics here at Genesis Pediatrics!   Please call the office at 426-4100 to schedule an appointment for your child(ren).   IMPORTANT: Genesis Pediatrics will only be offering the injectable flu vaccine (a “shot”) for this flu season. The intranasal FluMist is still not available based on the previous recommendation

AAP FLU VACCINE RECOMMENDATIONS for the 2017-2018 Season

During the 2016-17 season, more than 100 U.S. children died of the flu, and thousands more were hospitalized for severe illness or complications from the virus. Historically, more than 80 percent of children who died of influenza were not vaccinated.

Labor Day Office Hours

Genesis Pediatrics will be closed on Monday, September 4th in observation of Labor Day. The office will re-open on Tuesday, September 5th at 8:00am.  Have a safe holiday weekend!

🌞 Summer Camp Forms Reminder!

Help us help you—turn in your forms early!
  • Camp season is here! If your child needs a camp form completed, please submit it as soon as possible.
  • Longer turnaround times are expected due to increased summer volume.
  • Forms can be uploaded through the Patient Portal and will be returned there once completed. Please ensure that all pertinent information is filled out prior to sending or else it will be returned to the caregiver.
  • Submitting early helps us ensure your child is ready for summer fun!
