Yellow Zone Restrictions for Schools
We understand there are many questions about Governor Cuomo’s announcement yesterday regarding the testing of students and staff in the school districts in the Yellow Zone.
We do not have all of the answers yet. We are waiting for additional guidance from the Monroe Country Health Department.
Nasal Swab Tests
This would be a nasal swab just inside the nose, NOT the nasopharyngeal swab that reaches to the far back of the nose.
Exemptions for Testing
At this time, we are NOT writing any exemption letters to avoid this potential testing. There has been no guidance given from the Monroe County Department of Health regarding exemptions to testing. We are awaiting further guidance from the school districts, as well.
We will continue to post any and all information as we obtain it! Please try to be patient with our staff. We are all doing the best we can with the changes that seem to happen hourly!
