Flu Vaccine Clinics 2017!
We are beginning to schedule flu vaccine clinics here at Genesis Pediatrics! Please call the office at 426-4100 to schedule an appointment for your child(ren). IMPORTANT: Genesis Pediatrics will only be offering the injectable flu vaccine (a “shot”) for this flu season. The intranasal FluMist is still not available based on the previous recommendation

AAP FLU VACCINE RECOMMENDATIONS for the 2017-2018 Season
During the 2016-17 season, more than 100 U.S. children died of the flu, and thousands more were hospitalized for severe illness or complications from the virus. Historically, more than 80 percent of children who died of influenza were not vaccinated.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION about the upcoming Flu season: The CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) has advised AGAINST the use of FluMist, the intranasal live attenuated influenza vaccine, for this upcoming 2016-2017 flu season.
