ROC the day is a one day campaign to appeal to the community for support for charitable organizations. There are many worthy causes and we all benefit from their activities, including two of our favorites:
1) Golisano Children’s Hospital which is building a new facility adjacent to the Strong Memorial Hospital that is slated to open in 2015. This is where children at Genesis Pediatrics would go for hospital care. We hope we never need them but we value their specialists and support their work and are so glad to have this facility available to us.
2) Dream Factory, a wish granting organization for critically and chronically ill children ages 3-18. Since their start 15 years ago, the group has granted over 160 wishes in this area and is always looking for eligible children to serve. Dr. Goodfellow has served on their board for the 15 years since it started and knows their dedication to this cause.
