It is that time of year, and we have received many phone calls asking about flu vaccine information. At this time, Genesis Pediatrics is still awaiting shipment of flu vaccine products, and therefore cannot yet schedule any appointments for flu vaccine administration. Please check back on a daily basis for updated information. Flu vaccine clinics will be scheduled as soon as we receive the product!
Genesis Pediatrics recommends a flu vaccine for all children ages six months or older, and for all parents and caregivers of infants less than six months old who cannot yet receive their own vaccine. The FluMist nasal spray will be available to those children age two and older, except those who have a history of asthma, or have a history of inhaled medicine use in the past two years.
