Just a reminder that school requires physical examinations and specific vaccinations upon entering certain grade levels.
- Upon entering Kindergarten:
- Physical examination required.
- DTaP and IPV vaccines (if not yet received at 4 year well child check)
- Upon entering 4th Grade:
- Physical examination required.
- Upon entering 6th Grade:
- Tdap vaccine
- Upon entering 7th Grade:
- Physical examination required.
- 1st dose of the Meningitis (Menactra) vaccine (if not yet received with above Tdap vaccine)
- Upon entering 10th Grade:
- Physical examination required.
- Upon entering 12th grade:
- 2nd dose of the Meningitis (Menactra) vaccine (unless student received the 1st dose after their 16th birthday)
Although school may require a physical exam prior to certain grades, the providers at Genesis Pediatrics recommend a yearly physical to discuss growth, development, safety and preventative care!
